THE COLLETON POOL (Open to families of The Colleton School)
**CURRICULUM SWIMMING STARTS THIS WEEK**
Check email from school for details
Registrations now being taken for out of hours swimming after half term
We are very lucky to have an on-site pool, which means that Colleton pupils from Foundation to Year 6 are able to benefit every year from weekly swimming at school during the summer term, rather than having to travel to receive the statutory curriculum swimming lessons for just one term at some point during KS2.
The pool is run and financially maintained by the Colleton PTA and as such we ask for a single donation of £35 per family to cover the ongoing pool maintenance costs, which this year can be paid via your Scopay account (please note the payment will appear for each child however you only need to pay once per family).
Once you have made the payment, you can register here to have access to out of hours swimming!
Register your details here to enjoy out of hours swimming!
The pool is run entirely by volunteers, if you'd like to get involved please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
By making the £35 curriculum swimming donation and completing this registration form you and your immediate family will have access to out of hours swimming for the duration of the season.
Weather & spotter availability permitting the pool will be open daily for out of hours swimming at the following times:
2:30-3.30pm & 3:30-4:30pm
Check out the calendar to see when the pool is open.
To sign up to swim in a mid-week session during term time, add your name to the sign up sheet in the school office on the day
For weekend/holiday sessions just turn up – places will be allocated on a first come first served basis
This is what you can benefit from by making your donation:
To be Lead Spotter you need to hold a valid First Aid qualification - any responsible adult can be an Assistant Spotter
Here you can find all the documentation you need as a Lead Spotter or Assistant Spotter.
Paper copies of these are also kept in the lockable file in the girls changing rooms.
Please do take some time to familiarise yourself with these and once you have done that please complete and return the Spotters Consent form (electronically is fine to email@example.com) for us to keep on file. This consent form also encompasses GDPR requirements for approval to use your contact details.
Signing up for a session:
We encourage first time Lead Spotters to team up with a more experienced Spotter for your first few times, the 2nd Spotter can also be a Lead even though it is not a specific requirement that they are.
If you’ve paid your curriculum swimming donation and completed the registration form you have access to the pool for private hire!
Private Party Hire £35 – includes 2 hours with access to the pool and the school grounds for picnics (excluding the playing field).
Available 10-12pm at weekends/school holidays.
PLEASE NOTE: we allow a maximum of 30 swimmers in the pool.
Please complete the enquiry form or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested and one of the team will get back to you ASAP.
Terms & conditions apply.
