THE COLLETON POOL (Open to families of The Colleton School)
**CURRICULUM SWIMMING STARTS THIS WEEK**
Check email from school for details
Registrations now being taken for out of hours swimming after half term
We are very lucky to have an on-site pool, which means that Colleton pupils from Foundation to Year 6 are able to benefit every year from weekly swimming at school during the summer term, rather than having to travel to receive the statutory curriculum swimming lessons for just one term at some point during KS2.
The pool is run and financially maintained by the Colleton PTA and as such we ask for a single donation of £35 per family to cover the ongoing pool maintenance costs, which this year can be paid via your Scopay account (please note the payment will appear for each child however you only need to pay once per family).
Once you have made the payment, you can register here to have access to out of hours swimming!

SPOTTERS
To be Lead Spotter you need to hold a valid First Aid qualification - any responsible adult can be an Assistant Spotter
Here you can find all the documentation you need as a Lead Spotter or Assistant Spotter.
Paper copies of these are also kept in the lockable file in the girls changing rooms.
Please do take some time to familiarise yourself with these and once you have done that please complete and return the Spotters Consent form (electronically is fine to thecolletonpool@gmail.com) for us to keep on file. This consent form also encompasses GDPR requirements for approval to use your contact details.
Signing up for a session:
- We encourage each Lead Spotter to sign up to at least 3 sessions at the start of the season
- If for any reason you are unable to make that session, you need to do you best to find a replacement, only cancelling the session as a last resort
- As Lead Spotter we would like to ask you to please find an Assistant to spot with you. Remember, the Assistant does not need to be resuscitation trained so could be a friend or someone from your year group.
We encourage first time Lead Spotters to team up with a more experienced Spotter for your first few times, the 2nd Spotter can also be a Lead even though it is not a specific requirement that they are.
PRIVATE HIRE
If you’ve paid your curriculum swimming donation and completed the registration form you have access to the pool for private hire!
Private Party Hire £35 – includes 2 hours with access to the pool and the school grounds for picnics (excluding the playing field).
